Zechariah 8-
16 These are the things that ye shall do ; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate , saith the LORD.

A few take the words “fallen asleep” literally and believe that the dead remain unconscious until the Lord returns. But most see this as a euphemism: that the body “sleeps” while the spirit remains conscious. When Christians die, their bodies go into the grave while their spirits go to be with Jesus (see 2Co 5:6–8; Php 1:23). When unbelievers die, their bodies go into the grave while their spirits go to a place of torment.
The Old Testament speaks in a limited way about the grave, where all go at death. The New Testament uses the Greek word Hades for the Old Testament concept (see Rev 20:13), but expands on it considerably. Jesus hinted that Hades is divided into two parts—one for the wicked and one for the righteous. For the wicked it is described as torment, agony and fire; for the righteous it is comfort and rest (see Lk 16:22–26).
Gehenna is another word for hell, the final place of judgment upon the wicked. It was borrowed from the phrase meaning “the Valley of Hinnom,” a place where human sacrifices and pagan worship had occurred (see 2Ki 23:10). During New Testament times the place was the Jerusalem city dump where fires burned continually—a graphic image of perpetual torment and judgment.
When Christ returns, those who have died and are with Jesus will be given new bodies—resurrected, glorified bodies. At the final judgment unbelievers will be thrown into the “lake of fire” (Rev 20:11–15).

So you came here searching to understand what is a Christian. Some would simply say, “to believe in Jesus” makes you a Christian. But what does it mean “to believe?” And who, really, is “Jesus Christ?” According to the Bible, Jesus is the promised Messiah foretold in the Hebrew Scriptures. His Hebrew name is “Yeshua”, which means “Salvation”. He is the only begotten Son of God, God come in the flesh, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, who suffered, and was crucified for the sins of the world. He died and was buried, and on the third day, He rose again from the dead having the keys of hell and death. Soon afterward He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will soon return to judge both the living and the dead.
Those are the facts about Jesus, but how can you know they are really true so to really believe in Him? The kind of believing which the Bible speaks of means “complete trust”, so that you throw your entire existence upon Jesus in FAITH that He will save you. How can someone do that? And why do you need to be “saved”? The answers can only come from the highest authority, God Himself, by His REVELATION. Real FAITH only responds to real REVELATION from God… about Him AND about you. God communicates to a person through His Holy Spirit and His Word (Jesus Himself, and The Bible, Old and New Testaments). The Creator reveals His existence, His nature, His authority, and His will to people, in a way that makes them sure about Him. A true Christian is not someone who has chosen a particular “religion” because it appeals to him or because it seems reasonable. Rather, he comes to know his Creator by REVELATION, and comes to know Jesus personally as who He actually is: the only begotten Son of God and Savior of the world. REVELATION is also required to see yourself as you truly are in God’s eyes.
Reading the Bible does not automatically bring REVELATION, but when God’s Spirit brings conviction and certainty about His truth, then you can respond with true FAITH. Matthew’s gospel [Matthew 16:15-17] gives a powerful example: Jesus said to His disciples, ”But what about you?” “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. Peter’s answer about Jesus was revealed by God, Himself.
REVELATION from God also can come in other ways, such as visions, and there is general REVELATION from nature which testifies to an intelligent Creator. However it comes, REVELATION is God’s part in the process of becoming a Christian. But REVELATION alone will not make someone a true Christian. Many people receive REVELATION from God in many ways but never become Christians. This is because they refuse to repent and believe; they do not respond with REPENTANCE and FAITH. REPENTANCE means turning around and away from one’s own understanding and way of life, which is sinful and self-centered; and turning to God. It means responding to REVELATION from God recognizing His existence, His perfect holiness and our hopeless sinfulness. When we truly repent, we really understand and agree that we are sinful unto death, that “all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God” [Romans 3:23]; that we desperately need forgiveness and a purification that we cannot accomplish ourselves, because by our very nature we have violated God’s law and His holiness. Only being deeply convinced of these things we can truly respond with a FAITH that trusts completely in Jesus, the Savior who died for sin, and reconciled us to God.

3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

In the wake of President Obama's decision to no longer defend the Defense of Marriage Act, liberal Democrats -- led by Rep. Jerrold Nadler of New York -- have decided to take advantage of the situation and have introduced a bill to overturn DOMA, which restricts marriage to between a man and a woman.

The just-released Labor Department report on the U.S. job market in September pulls no punches: The U.S. economy continues to deteriorate.
Over 95,000 jobs were lost in September, on top of 57,000 in August.
The "official" unemployment rate held at 9.6 percent. But if you include discouraged and underemployed workers, of the true unemployment figure is 17.1 percent.
Almost 1 in 5 Americans either can't find solid, gainful employment ... or have basically given up looking for a job.
In addition ...
Construction lost another 21,000 jobs and manufacturing shed another 6,000 jobs.
IT employment slumped for the second month in a row, while the financial sector shed workers for the FIFTH consecutive month.
In the government sector, we saw a nasty loss of 159,000 jobs, with state, local, and federal governments ALL letting workers go!

The U.S. and U.K. have two of the highest budget deficits in the world, but while Britain's newly elected government has embraced austerity in a bid to quickly cut the deficit, Washington continues to bang the drum for more spending, saying it is essential to rescue the global economy.
Other European leaders, notably German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Central Bank chief Jean-Claude Trichet, have echoed the British approach.
But given the similarities of the so-called Anglo-Saxon economies, the contrast in the U.S. and U.K. approaches is most stark.

Do you want to be in the center of God's will for your life???, Then go
to the center verse in the Bible; Psa 118:8 It is better to trust in
the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Hypocrisy
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus was speaking to the as people about their religious leaders (Pharisees & Saducees) at the time. Even to this day Pharisees still exist and and use religion to control peoples lives making their own commandments and adding to God's commandments putting loads on men's shoulders to heavy to bear while they themselves make no effort to lift them thereselves;
Disciples are in most danger from hypocrites;
Jesus Said;
Mat 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
Mat 16:11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
Mat 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
Luk 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Luk 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Sometimes we need to step step back and ask ourselves what is our motivation for preaching,teaching,and telling others about Jesus is ??. Is it out of love for God, the truth, and his people or out of our own piety and self righteousness??
Rom 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
Rom 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
Rom 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Rom 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Rom 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
Then again what should we do as christians to keep from falling into the trap of Hypocrisy;
1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Jas 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
Jas 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
Jas 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Jas 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Reuters CHICAGO
As much as 1 million times the normal level of methane gas has been found in some regions near the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, enough to potentially deplete oxygen and create a dead zone, U.S. scientists said on Tuesday.
Texas A&M University oceanography professor John Kessler, just back from a 10-day research expedition near the BP Plc oil spill in the gulf, says methane gas levels in some areas are "astonishingly high."
Kessler's crew took measurements of both surface and deep water within a 5-mile (8 kilometer) radius of BP's broken wellhead.
"There is an incredible amount of methane in there," Kessler told reporters in a telephone briefing.
In some areas, the crew of 12 scientists found concentrations that were 100,000 times higher than normal.

By George Whitten, Jerusalem Bureau Chief
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (Worthy News)– Pope Benedict XVI has urged the creation of a “true world political authority” to “guarantee the protection of the environment” and to manage the global economy, Worthy News learned on Monday, June 21.
The pope issued an encyclical on the eve of the G-8 summit entitled, “Charity in truth“.
An encyclical is the highest form of papal writing, and gives the clearest indication to the world’s 1.1 billion Catholics of what the Vatican thinks about specific social and moral issues.
Pope Benedict said, “there is an urgent need of a true world political authority” whose task would be “to manage the global economy; to revive economies hit by the crisis; to avoid any deterioration of the present crisis and the greater imbalances that would result.” Read more:

Look what they found near the Texan/Mexican border!

By: Unknown
Where was our news media? Where was our president and congress? Why does the official move from Washington go against American private citizens and their guns, and not an all out war against the drug cartels using fully automatic military weapons, hand grenades, launchers and machineguns? Why is the president pushing for an international gun law that will bring registration and finally gun control to we American citizens? Who is for free and lawful American citizens? Where are our statesmen? Where are our patriots and where are champions for the Constitution and freedom and safety of American citizens?
This is not a false cry of Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is already ravaging the sheepfold. Until now we are acting like sheep and are in great danger of losing the greatest treasure on earth: freedom and opportunity for us and our children and grandchildren. WAKE UP AMERICANS!
Look what they found near the Texan/Mexican border! This will open your eyes & make you think! What are they planning?
A PRIME example of why we MUST support our neighbors in Arizona, and bolster the Texan border. This was a Zetas camp (a Mexican cartel w/ Guatemalan ties) that was found near Higueras, Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The "state" of Nuevo Laredo borders the Rio Grande, and this town is a little over 100 miles away from Laredo, TX. Please forgive the crude translations; my Mexican Spanish isn't that great.-J.
Exactly where did you hear about it in OUR media? Thank God for the border patrol that this did not come over the border. There is one "graphic picture" but it tells the story.
Let's quit trying to decide who is violating our federal laws "to make a better life", and ENFORCE the laws across the board on EVERYONE violating them.
That way we won't have to lament or wonder just how many of the illegal aliens legalized (synonymous with rewarded) under the latest attempt to legislate away the millions who have spit on our laws, are MS-13, Zetas, cartel members, and other scum that would be "legal". There are many Hispanic men and women that I both love and respect that understand and support Arizona and any citizen's desire to keep our country a safe place to live and raise our children and grandchildren. It's not racist, and it's not xenophobic. I hope we can ignore and recognize the majority of the naysayers for the photo-op, attention-loving clowns they are, and start coming together as AMERICANS that want what's best for AMERICA !
